Job Summary: 
We are a leading technology firm dedicated to delivering high-quality software solutions. We are seeking an experienced Software Testing Engineer to join our team and ensure the excellence of our products through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Design:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.

• Testing Execution:

  • Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
  • Execute automated and manual test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that the software meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to developers to improve code quality.
  • Maintain and improve automated test frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document test procedures, test results, and quality assurance practices.
  • Generate detailed reports on testing progress, defects, and overall quality metrics.
  • Communicate testing outcomes and quality issues to stakeholders effectively.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior testing engineers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 3-10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in both automated and manual testing.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with performance and load testing tools.
• Knowledge of database testing and SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
